VSS is proud to recognise the incredible fundraising efforts of our Sales Director Paul Tomkins, whose annual Charity Garden BBQ continues to make a meaningful difference to important causes.
On 27th June, Paul, together with his two neighbours, hosted their annual Charity Garden BBQ. Now in its 9th year, the event has become a fantastic community tradition, raising money for a range of worthy causes, including Cancer Research UK and St Luke’s Hospice.
We’re delighted to announce that this year’s event raised an outstanding £7,500 for GOSH – Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. VSS kindly donated Liverpool FC Premier league tickets for auction and have done for the 9 years this event has been running.
This latest achievement takes the total amount raised over the past nine years to more than £50,000—an incredible milestone that reflects the generosity of everyone who has supported the event over the years.
Paul said:
“It’s a long, hard day of cooking, but seeing how much we’ve raised makes every minute worthwhile. My son spent time at Great Ormond Street Hospital, so supporting the incredible work they do means a great deal to me. I can’t think of a more deserving charity to receive the money.”
